Does anybody know where the best place is to buy an Underwater fishing light online? I was somewhere the other night and the “snook” were thick! Better than an aquarium!

Wondering if there is such thing as an underwater low level light I can put inside a “cave” in my fish tank?

Posted in Underwater Fishing Light by admin on the October 16th, 2009
Nando asked:

not trying to scare the fish from going in but it is pretty deep and I thought it would look kind of cool if there was some sort of “glow” inside.
by the way, just looking to see if there is such type of light. not looking for fish advice or if the fish will like it or not. so it doesn’t matter what type of fish I have, how many, or the size of the tank. they have other little places to hide… unless you know of fish dying from a strange yet toxic “glow” from an ornament (sarcasm).

Thanks.

ocean essay, any mistakes?

Posted in Homework Help by admin on the October 11th, 2009
venezueleanmami313 asked:

okay i know this is kinda sorta long but if you have the time just read it, i need to know if i have any auxiliary verbs in this essay because were NOT supposed to use any so if you could read it over and tell me my mistakes okay thank you very much!

I inhaled the smell of the cool salty air, a scent like no other. The crying seagulls circle the sky while my eyes look upon the vast, beautiful glistening ocean. The bright blinding sun hurts the pupils of my eyes, while the bright blue sky softens them. I look out to the sea seeing the reflection of the sky above, the water stretching as far as my eyes can see. The ocean changes color like my eyes, from green to blue to gray. Ripples and waves flow towards the shore dampening the glittering grains of sand. The warm water creeps up to my feet flowing from back to forth. The swooshing sounds of the waves calms every worry in my head, letting my mind focus on the gentle hushing sounds of the sea as if someone were putting a baby to sleep. I see the water dancing lightly under the sky, I feel the scratchy sand between my toes, and the hot sun against my skin. Looking out to the ocean I taste the salty water by just licking my lips. I already feel the loving embrace of the warm water around me. I easily welcome the quiet when I am underwater looking out at all the colorful swimming fish around me. I slowly emerge from the ocean resting on the warm sand beneath me letting the bright sun dry me off. I hear the laughter of family and friends around me, also welcoming the beauty the ocean holds. The smell, taste, and sounds of the ocean mostly affects me, one swift breath never enough. The wave’s crash roughly against the shore then almost softly retreats with a sizzling sound back into the water. As I walk along the course sand I come across a simple sea shell yet the beauty of the shell resembles the now arising sunset. Twilight slowly emerges, the shore is now empty and only the ocean and I remain. The soft breeze blows my hair away allowing me the site of the now graceful, calm ocean. The orange sunset mixes in with the ocean perfectly almost as if they where attached to each other. As night spreads darkness over the ocean the twinkling stars come out to help and shed some light. The hermit crabs now emerge from there underground paradise roaming around freely. The soothing beauty of both the ocean and night instantly overwhelms me. Wrapped around a black, velvet blanket the ocean speaks through the now calm waves, goodnight. I take one last look out to ocean with all its beauty and array of color, thinking of all the mysteries it holds.

What do you think of my short story ?

Posted in Books & Authors by admin on the October 8th, 2009
MagalixCore asked:

On a shore, by a sea, lived a little boy. he was quiet and
lonely. taller than all the boys in his classroom, it made
him awkward. teased or ignored, he was obsolete. his father
was a lawyer, one of the smartest men he’d ever known. but
always a bottle at his side, and alcohol on his breath. he
hardly saw his mother.. but he saw her enough to notice the
bruises. he never heard her cry, but she had glistening
paths where the tears had eroded her cheeks. considered an
only child, he felt he didn’t even exist to them.
His only escape was dreaming, fantasies. he longed for the
fairy tale story like all the books he had read. he was so
alone and yellow pages were his only company. he longed for
adventure from his bare white bedroom walls.
It was a sticky summer night, when he heard the melody. de
ja vu swept over his body, and enchanted he became. he
looked past his curtains into the titanic purple sea.. he
felt an ever longed for sense of belonging. he felt needed.
he climbed through his window and landed bare foot in the
sand. the waters tide pulled him. he felt one with the moon
and its gravitational pull. he heard the music only becoming
sweeter to his ears. before he knew it his knees and the
bottom of his robe were submerged in the salty water. his
feet sunk in the sand, muscles cut at his ankles. there were
sharp rocks everywhere but the strange and secret song only
pulled his body deeper in. his eyes were glazed and he stood
on his toes so he could keep his lips above the water. he
wanted to become a part of this magic choir.
A ***** of thunder and the sky turned from dark blue to
red. the once calm sea began to spin. he felt he should be
scared, but he felt at home. for the first time in his life.
he was swept in further, until his feet could feel no rock
or sand. only the sea weeds tugging at his legs tangling him
and pulling him under. at first he struggled for air. trying
to tread the captivating sea. but the weeds grew up his
thighs and tugged at his waist. and with one last breath he
descended under the labyrinthine liquid, in his underwater
cocoon. and there he slept in his submarine garden.
His slumber was broke as finger tips caressed his cheeks,
and bare chest. he opened his eyes to see a girl. she
flinched at his subtle movement. he didn’t think twice about
his ability to breathe, still in this underwater world. her
hair was long and as white as her pale skin, and in her eyes
she held the blue of the sea. like tiny worlds. he was no
longer tangled in the weeds. she took his hand and and
carried him through the water. he didn’t know this sea
princess’ destination but he trusted her. she had found him,
she had called out to him. as they swam she began to hum, he
understood now the melody as an underwater language. as she
sang he, heard her say, “come to me my prince, i’ve been
waiting here as lonely as you. the waters are where we both
belong. now stay with me forever, our love into eternity.
we’ll never be old, and tears don’t exist. we are the
forgotten and misunderstood. but never broken.” in the
distance he saw a small light. she carried him deeper and
deeper into the sea to an undiscovered land. she told him of
her world with sea horses, and electric fish. and a murky
underwater throne.. for he was the submarine prince.

Starting a diving/scuba career?

Posted in Swimming & Diving by admin on the October 7th, 2009
timetowinher asked:

Hi guys,

I’ve recently been looking into the diving community with great interest. Just to give you a background on my life I’m 17 years old I got certified for open water diving about 4 years ago and I fell in love with it. My dad took the classes 2 years before me. I’ve lived in Minnesota all my life and both me and my dad have grown up on Millacs lake so were part fish, well not really but close to it! Most of my lifve I’ve had most of my friends and family tell me to go to college and get a well paying job and have nice stuff but I thought hell I want to do something I love something I have a passion for and this might be it. He wants to open a diving shop on Marco Island in Florida in the next 5 years but I’ve been looking into commercial diving/dive instructors/dive masters. I’ve done light research but I really don’t know much about them. How much money would one of these make is it enough to get by? Is there a career where you photograph underwater?

Thanks a ton!

how does human evolution work?

Posted in Biology by admin on the October 6th, 2009
Aaron M asked:

Through the course of time, many animals have evolved. They fish has developed gills to breath underwater, birds has developed wings for flying, night vision eyesight (owls) and animals who developed self-defense characteristics. I am wondering if humans would gain these kinds of characteristics if placed in a speific environment such as placing a man inside a dark cave with no light would cause them to develop night vision (through evolution ofcourse which would mean passing a specific gene through offsprings). what do you think?
